The Visibility Club
Hi there, It’s me again 🙂 Something that overwhelms every solopreneur I’ve ever met is choosing where to post content online and how often. TikTok A website full of blogs Google ads The options and strategies are endless, and it’s exhausting just writing about it. But here’s the thing: You don’t have to be everywhere. Sure, you need to be somewhere, but why not let your keywords do the heavy lifting and figure out where that is. Keywords don’t just guide you on what words to use in your content to get found in searches—they can also reveal what type of content to create and where to post it. Here’s what I mean:Last week, I offered Visibility Club subscribers free keyword research and 5 beautiful souls took me up on the offer. (P.S. You’re amazing and so smart for jumping on that!) |

The results? Completely shifted my perspective on what I preach about having a website*. Jacquie, the pottery educator: Pinterest showed up twice in the search results (positions 2 and 5) alongside a YouTube video (position 7 out of 10). Jacquie’s best bet? Skip the lengthy blogs and double down on Pinterest and video content. Nina, the virtual assistant: Fun fact—Google has indexed “VA services” as Veterans Affairs (see, I learn every day with your help too). After a little adjustment in the search (I ditched the acronym and searched for “virtual assistant” LinkedIn stood out in the #2 spot. If Nina doesn’t have a website yet, she can still thrive by leveraging LinkedIn! Nuno the Surfer from Lisbon: Google My Business profiles dominated the search results for his keywords. There were zero blog posts. Nuno’s priority shouldn’t be writing articles—it should be having a website for his business and optimizing his GMB profile. Here’s the big takeaway: Not all platforms are created equal, and the results of keyword research can tell you exactly where you should focus your energy by telling you where those keywords show up the most. If Pinterest, YouTube, or GMB are what’s showing up in search results, that’s your sign to stop wasting time on blog posts that no one is searching for. Still unsure of your keywords and where you should be focusing your efforts? Well then, this is your last call for alcohol, err, I mean free keyword research (I may or may not be drinking wine while writing) Reply to this email with what your business is and what you believe your keywords are, and I’ll take care of the rest. Full disclosure: I love sending Loom videos, so be prepared to receive a personal video from yours truly. Let’s find out where your audience is hanging out so you can meet them there.
